Alicia Storie

Alicia Storie is a climate artist and designer based in Glasgow. Her practice spans installation, spatial design and community-engaged art, exploring the relationship between home and the environment through circular materials and biophilic design. She is the founder of the climate-conscious art and design studio AdesignStorie.
Recent installations include House of Wellbeing, a climate-conscious tiny home installation presented at the Dundee Design Festival (2024), and The Future Materials Table shown at V&A Dundee. (2024) Alongside her creative practice, she delivers talks, workshops and participatory projects focused on sustainable homes, material reuse and climate-conscious design.
She is a Design Council Expert supporting the Design Council’s Design for Planet mission and was selected for the World Design Organization’s Young Designers Circle, contributing to international dialogue on sustainable creative practice. She has received the Creative Edinburgh Innovation Award and the Global Climate Design Award, and her work features in the Dezeen Awards.
Collective Home: Community, Creativity & Action in Argyll is one of the 23 Scotland-wide projects awarded funding through Culture Collective in 2026-2027.
Funded by the Scottish Government, Culture Collective places creativity at the heart of community development, supporting artists and organisations to work directly with communities, respond to local priorities, strengthen local identity and create paid opportunities for creative practitioners.
Focussed upon the concept of home and what this means now for communities in Argyll, our project reflects the distinct character and composition of our rural and coastal region. Through sustained projects devised collaboratively by the creative practitioners we support and the participating communities, we will explore what home means for young people in Argyll, for those facing the challenges of the climate crisis, and for those with lived experience of displacement and settling in this region. Developed in partnership with local organisations, our work will harness the power of creativity and collective action to build community, promote cultural exchange, and enhance lives.
