Saturday Studios – Fabricating Dreams

‘Oh to be a snail’ Florence Logan with Amy Murray (photography, Jassy Earl)

Performance maker and former Cove Park resident Florence Logan warmly invites you to move, make, dream and play.

Using movement, video, and a mix of everyday objects we’ll turn our dreams into “wonky realities.” whether that be big ambitions, like becoming a hairdresser or climbing all the Munros or completely fantastical ideas like a snail leaving rainbow trails across the sky.

Through simple exercises and group activities, we’ll explore imagination, absurdity and storytelling. Together, we’ll create short, playful scenes or vignettes that bring our ideas to life and even imagine the dreams of unexpected things, from pebbles to patches of moss to the moon.

We’ll start with an image-led movement warm-up, followed by games that reimagine everyday objects and challenge us to attempt the impossible… then we’ll start making.

The workshop is free and designed for children and their families.

If you have questions about workshop accessibility, please get in touch with Emma Henderson (Curator of Engagement).
