Bridget Smith
Duration
Bridget Smith is a London-based artist working with photography, video and site-specific installations to explore the relationship between the real and the imagined within social and architectural spaces. Her artwork addresses our conflicted desire to feel both connected and transported: within society, the landscape and the wider universe. Smith’s approach to photography interweaves multiple positions: analogue and digital, still and moving, the photograph as sculpture and object. While at Cove Park she will be working on combining narrative non-fiction with the photographic image.
Smith is represented by Frith Street Gallery, London. Recent solo and group exhibitions include: Field Recordings, Frith Street Gallery, London (2023), Channelling: body – Image – viewer, Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago (2025), Show Your Metal, Millennium Gallery, Sheffield (2024), Let Us Record The Atoms As They Fall, Swedenborg House, London (2019) Thinking Light, public art commission, Beecroft Building, University of Oxford (2018).
