Sarah Calmus is an artist, freelance producer and self taught sound maker. Interactive, multisensory sustainably produced experiences are central within Calmus’s practice, where works often draw focus on environmental concerns that build equity for participators and critique and explore ecosystems of varying scales.

Following her debut solo exhibition in Stockholm last year, Calmus has been awarded Creative Scotland funding for her debut solo Scotland exhibition in 2026 at Inspace Gallery, Edinburgh. She was awarded the inaugural Beldina Odenyo Award for her debut single ,The Blue, in 2024 which supported the production of the track through the Hen Hoose. This is expected to be released in 2026.
