Shona Noble is an artist and researcher based between Islay and Glasgow. She is currently working on ‘Islay Nine’; a series of prints which explore where Islay’s industrial architecture coincides with domestic architecture and the natural landscape. Her process uses analogue photography and field sketches using charcoal, pastels and watercolour. She brings these to Glasgow to create compositions ready for etching. Her residency at Cove Park would be to develop compositional sketches with the aim of etching these images later in the year.
