Megumi McKillop

Megumi McKillop currently holds the post as the Scenic Art Tutor at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Prior to joining the Conservatoire, she held positions as Head Scenic Artist at both the Thousand Islands Playhouse (Gananoque, Ontario) and the Sudbury Theatre Centre (Sudbury, Ontario) and served as Assistant Scenic Artist at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (Winnipeg, Manitoba).

Her freelance credits include work with Theatre Aquarius (Hamilton), the Grand Theatre (London), the Harold Green Jewish Theatre and Théâtre Français de Toronto (Toronto). She has also been a part-time faculty member at St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario.

Beyond the theatre world, Megumi has contributed to various fabrication shops, producing scenic elements for major clients such as Universal Studios, Disney, and HBO. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Technical Theatre Design from the University of Calgary and maintains an interest around Ecoscenographic practices.
