Nadiyah Abdullatif

Nadiyah Abdullatif is a Mauritius-born, Scotland-based editor and translator working from Arabic, French, Mauritian Creole and Spanish into English. Her work has appeared in Michigan Quarterly Review, carte blanche, Wasafiri, ArabLit Quarterly and The Markaz Review. Her co-translation with Anam Zafar of Lebanese graphic novel Yoghurt and Jam (Or How My Mother Became Lebanese) (Balestier Press, 2023) received a PEN Translates award, was shortlisted for the Saif Ghobash Banipal Prize and was longlisted for the Warwick Prize for Women in Translation.
