Sarah Chew and Colum Findlay are music theatre collaborators, interrogating cultural fault lines in gender, disability, class and intergenerationality through performance. The issues they address are serious, and based in lived experience, but humour, whimsy and joy are integral to the making practice of their calls for social justice.

Sarah is a theatre director, writer and activist. Her 20 years’ professional performance experience has taken her to 4 continents, where she has directed over 70 productions and written 9 professionally produced plays, as well as storytelling, workshops and teaching. She has created work in the West End and across the UK, at theatres across Europe, off Broadway, and in Kenya, Uganda, Israel, Palestine, Vietnam and Iran, her work has also been seen on BBC 1, Channel 4,Netflix and Comedy Central.

Colum Findlay is a composer, actor, and musical director from Glasgow, Scotland. They graduated in 2022 with an MA in Musical Theatre from Royal Conservatoire Scotland, and hold a BMus from the University of Aberdeen. They are the founder, director and composer of Perfect Forth, Scotland’s top professional a cappella collective, which has shaped their vocal orchestration style and their passion for ensemble harmony which blends classical technique, jazz musicianship, and contemporary pop.

While at Cove Park, they will be working on the development of Others, a new fantasy musical exploring fascism, media manipulation, and how resistance, identity, and solidarity can reclaim power in the face of oppression.
