Cove Park’s Literature Residency supports an established writer based in Scotland or the UK at a key stage in their work. We offer the writer time and space to pursue a project or new ways of working free from the pressure of specified outcomes, in a changing community of artists across a range of art-forms, career stages and nationalities.

Jo Bell is a well-respected poet and teacher whose books include the collections Navigation and Kith, and writing manuals 52: Write a Poem a Week and How To Be a Poet (with Jane Commane). Her work has been performed at the Royal Exchange in Manchester and on BBC Radio 4. A former director of National Poetry Day, RLF fellow and tutor for Arvon and the Poetry School, Jo is now working towards her third collection with Nine Arches Press. ‘I don’t yet know what that book looks like or even if it is a purely poetic work – I hope to find out in the peace of Cove Park.’
