Space/Time is a creative retreat for experienced artists from all disciplines that asks the question “How does an artist keep developing?”  It aims to refresh participants through a stimulating examination of creativity. During the residency, we will explore how creativity can be nourished and how artists can continue to challenge themselves to develop.

The residency combines facilitated dialogue – built around a series of self-generated questions – with time for individual reflection and work. It is led by Nicholas Bone and Alice McGrath.

Magnetic North has run 8 previous Space/Time retreats and this will be our fourth at Cove Park. Space/Time is open to experienced artists and selection is through an open call process.  It is part of Magnetic North’s comprehensive Artist Development programme http://www.magneticnorth.org.uk/artist-development/artist-development and, as with all our work, participants are paid a fee to attend the retreat.

The artists at this retreat will be: Hanna Tuulikki (visual artist and recipient of the first Magnetic North Artist’s Attachment award), Lynda Radley (playwright), Tam Dean Burn (performer and writer), Mary Bourne (visual artist), and Elaine Kordys (dance/film).
