Ellis O’Connor is a visual artist from Scotland working in drawing, painting and printmaking. She uses this visual language to challenge assumptions about the natural environment, to reinterpret the grandeur of natural land forms, and to re-present this visual information laden with power.
Ellis has been living and working in the far North of Iceland for the past 5 months as artist in residence.
Her project revolves around documenting the elements of the landscape, the atmospheric weather and the shifting of the natural land that surrounds us.
Ellis has exhibited her work widely and is currently planning her next artist residences to Norway, Ireland and the Archipelago of Svalbard with the Arctic Circle Organisation.
