Darren Appiagyei is a London-based woodturner. He graduated from University of the Arts London/Camberwell College of Arts in 2016 where he studied 3D Design. His practise embraces the intrinsic beauty of the wood, be it a knot, crack, bark or grain. Darren is an awardee of the Cockpit Arts/Turners Award (2017) through which he received his current studio space. In 2019 he was selected for the Craft Council’s prestigious Hothouse programme.

th Annual Graduate Show (2019). Darren was included in Crafts Magazine’s ‘Most Talented Graduates’ (2018) and in Hole and Corner online ‘One’s to Watch in New Designer’s First Week’ (2018).
