Anoushka Havinden is an artist and writer.

Born in London in 1976, raised in the North East of Scotland, she spent many years in Glasgow and now lives in Dunoon, Argyll with her family.

She studied Drawing & Painting at Glasgow School of Art, and has since worked as an artist and tutor, writer and poet. She is interested in perception, and how we experience life through both constructed stories and our senses.

Her painting moves between figurative and abstract, evoking both embodied perception and dream/memory/imagined experience. She is currently looking for ways to bridge and connect worlds, and considering how to bring together her writing and visual arts practises.
