Images in Motion Workshop with Emmie McLuskey

Saturday 18th May 2019 10.00am – 4.00pm at Cove Park

Join artist Emmie McLuskey in a workshop that explores how we capture movement. We will work with ways we have recorded movement historically, looking to Eadweard Muybridge’s animal locomotion studies to make our own motion wheels and flip books.

In this workshop we will make our own images move by using techniques in drawing, photography and film.

The day will start with a discussion about how movement has been recorded over time, followed by some time to experiment with making your own image sequences and then filming the results.

This is a full day workshop so please bring a packed lunch, drinks and fruit will be provided.

This free workshop is open to all young people in secondary school. We are able to help with transport if required.
