Dunoon Burgh Hall Trust is a small, but ambitious organisation which reopened following full refurbishment as an arts and cultural community venue in June 2017. The Trust aims to support and nurture local talent on the Cowal Peninsula in the west of Scotland.

This new opportunity for four Cowal based visual artists was created for local, aspirational artists who were interested in taking time out to explore and create new work whilst on residency at Cove Park. In addition the artists have be offered a 2 week solo exhibition in Dunoon Burgh Hall’s Side gallery. The exhibitions will reflect the residency experience in some way.

The selected artists are:
Jackie Stevenson
Soozie Turmeau
Anoushka Havinden
Sandi Kiehlman.

Please see the link below for the artists’ biographies.

The Work Room and Cove Park are collaborating again in 2018 to offer a Work Room member a residency at Cove Park either for themselves, or along with collaborators from other disciplines. The residency is intended to bring a new dimension to a creative practice or practices.

This year we have 4 ‘artist weeks’ of residency time to allocate: The lead artist/s can use the time as they wish, with collaborators for the whole or parts of the time. We encourage applications which seek to investigate multi-disciplinary approaches. The residency will sit within the summer programme, and is a paid opportunity.

Please see the attached Guidelines here for more details. Deadline 23rd April 2018.
