Nao Matsunaga ‘Stones and Bones’

10 September 2012

Nao Matsunaga‘s first solo exhibition Stones and Bones opens at Marsden Woo Gallery, London on 13th September and runs to 27th October.

Matsunaga was on residency at Cove Park in 2010.  This new body of work shows further development in his exploration of the dualities and contradictions in materials, surfaces and textures. His beautiful and strange sculptures made predominately from ceramic and wood are distillations of natural and cultural references, they speak of enduring human concerns and personal and collective experience.
