Will Shannon lives and works in London. He studied for a BA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art (2000-2003), followed by an MA in Design Products at the RCA (2008-2010).
His practice has encompassed the role of furniture maker, studio assistant and more recently workplace designer. His interest in the space that designers need, in which to create, has generated a collection of designed and built workspaces and installations. These are physical models that illustrate a narrative approach to the design of things, sets without performers. The products, tools and furniture he produces for and in these spaces are all regarded as equal in status as he considers the process of making in the same regard as the products themselves.
