Toby Paterson (born 1974, Glasgow) lives and works in Glasgow. He received a BA (Hons) from Glasgow School of Art in 1995 and undertook an exchange to the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1993. Recent solo exhibitions and projects include: ‘Soft Boundary’, The Modern Institute, Glasgow, 2014; ‘20th Century Perspectives’, a collaborative project with the Scottish Ensemble Glasgow and ‘Toby Paterson’, Peebles Art Gallery, Inverness Art Gallery, Kirkcaldy Galleries and Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries, as part of a tour organised by the Scottish Touring Exhibitions Consortium. In 2015, amongst other projects, the artist is working towards a public commission for Islington Council and Art on the Underground and a public commission with Le Grand Café, Saint Nazaire, France.
