Born in Scotland in 1986, Nick Ross is now based in Stockholm, Sweden.
He studied Industrial Design at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen followed by an MFA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design at Konstfack in Stockholm.
His practice is concerned with how factual history and fictional storytelling can play roles in how we perceive the world around us. Ross uses designed objects to question taste and how it relates to cultural or monetary value.
Recent exhibitions include ‘Ung Svensk Form’ Designersblock, London (2013), ‘Konstfack Spring Exhibition’ Stockholm (2013) and ‘Design for a Liquid Society’ Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Milan (2012). ‘Örnsbergsauktionen’ at the National Museum Gallery in Stockholm is upcoming in 2014.
