Morag Macpherson is a textile designer based in Kirkcudbright, Dumfries and Galloway. Originally trained in ‘Design for Print’ at Glasgow College of Building and Printing, Macpherson spent a number of years working as a commercial graphic artist before turning to textile design in 2006. She has exhibited extensively across the UK most recently at Selected at the Dovecot, Edinburgh and Craft Central, London with Craft Scotland and showcased internationally at fairs such as SOFA Chicago and ICFF, New York at New York Design Week. Recently collaborative work includes projects with american interior designers Paul Vega and Olivia Williams and Scottish Couturier Sandra Murray MBE.
She is an Upland member and was commissioned by Upland in 2016 to create a Spring Fling Rural Mural in Galloway and Newcastle in collaboration with italian international street artist Tellas.
