Megan Rooney (born 1986, Canada) lives and works in London and Toronto. Graduating from the University of Toronto in 2009, she went on to receive an MFA in Fine Art from Goldsmith’s London in 2011.
Megan’s work includes painting, performance, written and spoken word, sculpture and installation. Her work is often populated by soft-grotesque figures all limbs, hair and eyes that navigate a slippy space, one that appears playful and romantic yet also strange and repulsive. These figures lurk on the periphery of written and performed narratives.
