Lynne MacLachlan is a designer and maker of jewellery and objects based in Glasgow. Lynne’s work focuses on geometry, pattern and colour, creating intriguing optical effects for wearer and viewer. Taking an experimental, hybrid approach to digital tools and hand processes, her pieces are produced in a range of materials.
After a degree in aerospace engineering Lynne studied at Duncan of Jordanstone and the Royal College of Art and holds a PhD from the Open University, where she explored how designer-makers find creative opportunities through tools and applied these strategies to multi-material 3D printing.
Lynne’s award winning work has exhibited widely in the UK, and Europe and America, with the Crafts Council, the Victoria and Albert Museum Dundee, the National Centre for Craft and Design, Craft Scotland and London Design Festival
