Katie Spragg is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Art (2016) where she completed an MA in Ceramics & Glass. Combining clay with a range of processes including animation, illustration and installation, her practice highlights our interaction with and relationship to nature. Fired ceramic and peephole pieces capture a moment in time, while her animations describe the durational element of making and the elastic sense of time that is felt when in nature.
As well as the production of her own work, teaching and sharing skills is an important part of her practice. She has taught at Central Saint Martins, London, and currently teaches ceramics at Camden Art Centre and is Artistic producer of a project called Tate Exchange a project with and along with new outreach group, Collective Matter.
Recent exhibitions include Showcase with Flow Gallery, COLLECT, London, February 2017,  Young Masters October Show, Cynthia Corbett at Royal Opera Arcade, London, October 2016 and Future Heritage at Decorex, Syon Park, London, September 2016.
