Jonathan Wade lives and works in Glasgow. He studied for a BA in 3D Design: Ceramics at Bath Spa University graduating in 1996 followed by an MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art from 2011-13.
Within his practice Wade seeks out qualities of ambiguousness, intervention, transience or coincidence in man-made landscapes or natural objects and environments, responding to them through his use of sculptural materials such as clay and wax. He is represented by Adrian Sassoon Gallery, London and has exhibited across the UK as well as representing the UK at the European Ceramic Context exhibition in Bornholm Art Museum, Denmark. Most recently in 2016 Wade was selected to take part in the 1st International Ceramic Art Workshop, at the Ceramic Institute, Jingdezhen, China.
