Heather O’Neill is the author of three novels, ‘Lullabies for Little Criminals’, ‘The Girl Who Was Saturday Night’ and ‘The Lonely Hearts Hotel’. She is also the author of a book of short stories, a poetry collection and a screenplay. In Canada, her work has been awarded the Danuta Gleed Award and the Hugh MacLennan Prize, in addition to winning the CBC Canada Reads competition. She has also been shortlisted for many prizes, including the Orange Prize and the Giller Prize. She has contributed to such publications as the Guardian and the New York Times Magazine. Born and raised in Montreal, she resides there today with her daughter.
