Garry MacKenzie is a poet and non-fiction writer based in Fife. His poetry has won awards including a Scottish Book Trust New Writer Award and the Wigtown Poetry Competition, and been commended in the Gingko Prize for Ecopoetry. He has an MLitt in creative writing and a PhD in contemporary poetry from the University of St Andrews, and has been published in journals and anthologies including The Compass Magazine, The Clearing, Reliquiae and Zoomorphic. He has recently completed a book-length poem about a herd of red deer, and his non-fiction book Scotland: A Literary Guide for Travellers is published by I.B. Tauris.
