Born 1984, lives and works in London.
Charlotte Linton studied Fashion: Print at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design, London, and went on to receive an MA in Printed Textiles from the Royal College of Art, London.
Linton’s work has developed around a consideration of the aesthetic and material potential of printed textiles, as well as how such a medium can function as a carrier of content related to the roots of craft in geographically specific tradition. Research into specific geographical areas underpins each collection and she focuses this enquiry on zoological and anthropological information gleaned from multiple sources. The scarves are digitally printed and hand rolled by the artist.
