Cove Park seeks an experienced professional creative practitioner to deliver their Saturday Art Club for children aged 5-11 from Argyll & Bute within their Hands-On Cove Park programme.

The successful candidate will have:

1. knowledge and experience of working across many creative sectors and with varying media, reflecting the breadth of our international residency programme
2. a minimum of three-years experience, or equivalent, devising and delivering creative activities for children and young people
3. the ability to inspire, excite, encourage, engage and motivate children to enjoy, learn and develop from their own and others participation in and enjoyment of creative activities

Hands-On is a new and exciting programme of creative educational and participatory public events for people in Argyll & Bute responding to our international residency programme. Hands-On comes at a critical and exciting time in Cove Park’s development with the opening of our new Artists Centre. The Saturday Art Club is a core strand of Hands-On activity for children and young people running concurrently with the National Art & Design Saturday Club (for ages 12-18) to be led by a to be appointed National Art & Design Saturday Club Tutor.

The appointment is on a self-employed freelance part-time basis, initially for 24, three-hour sessions from October 2016 – June 2017. A fee of £2,430 – £2,880 will be paid, dependent on experience and in line with SAU rates of pay.
